How to Put the Rotary International RSS on Your Website

July 15, 2007

One way to keep up on RI events and to pull Rotarians to your website is by putting an RSS on your site.

So what is a RSS:  It is a communication tool that brings news updates from another website.

One of the biggest reasons people visit websites is to get information. If you can regularly provide fresh, quality content on your website you can expect to be rewarded by visitors and return visitors. What’s more, you will be rewarded by the search engines. I recommended that you add new and original content to your site as often as possible, ideally once a day.

OK – so you are convinced – how do you put the Rotary International RSS on your website?  -

Just copy the code below and paste it wherever you want it to show up on your Web site, and it should work with no problems.  Not that is is HTML and you need to put this code into an HTML box that you create.

 <script language=”JavaScript” src=”http://itde.vccs.edu/rss2js/feed2js.php?src=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.rotary.org%2Frss.xml&chan=y&num=0&desc=1&date=y&targ=n” type=”text/javascript”></script>
